ARTIST STATEMENT
My work is an explosion of colourful and emotional responses to the world I live in, inspired mainly by nature. My response to this stimuli often leads to a construction / deconstruction process with my subject inviting interesting colour and texture explorations – the unifying elements in my work.
I enjoy to paint with the energy, emotion and freedom found in the painterly expressionist sentiment, and I use vibrant colours to let my subjects live, breath and dance on the canvas.
My intention through my painting is to uplift, bring joy, fanciful imaginings and moments of escape to the viewer
